I was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Chicago
until the age of 11. My father, an architect for the United Nations, was posted in several countries overseas after that time. Living in a variety of countries and attending boarding school in Europe gave me some unique experiences, which shows in some of my designs. My mother was a professional ballerina with the Ballet of Cuba until the age of 16, when she moved to the United States and has taught off and on to this day. |
I have been sewing since 1992, when my son was born and I chose to stay home with him. I have not focused on a specific class of sewing, doing everything from costumes, to home décor, to fashion designs varying in style and mood. Please see my portfolio section for some examples. My influences are broad and my moods are varied, going from soft and flowy, dance inspired dresses to hard dark gothic and alternative designs. The clothes that are for sale are those that I can readily get the fabric for. I like to make one of a kind creations for people, therefore, please look at all of my clothes. If there is something that strikes your fancy, I can make similar items depending on the fabric available at the time.
